2023 Spring Campus Visits

A unique aspect of the Milken Scholars Program is our Campus Visits. Staff travel to each Scholar’s university campus, twice a year, for in-person check-ins to provide 1-on-1 college advice tailored to each Scholar’s needs.

In the busyness of the semester, Campus Visits invite Scholars to pause and share laughs, life updates, academic and extracurricular pursuits; stories of the new life they are creating on their college campus.

On these Campus Visits, Milken Scholars lead staff on a tour of their university campus, highlighting the spaces where they study, hang out with friends, their dorm, sometimes even welcoming us into a class or an extracurricular they are a part of to give us a glimpse of their daily life.  Staff has been invited to sit in on thesis presentations, sports games and a highlight for Spring 2023 included participating in a Scholar’s acapella group rehearsal!  Campus Visits allow Scholars to gain insight from Staff and Milken Scholar peers as all Scholars on campus will be invited to meet over a group meal to discuss ways to navigate classes, internships, and friendships, amongst many other topics. Milken Scholar meals foster mentorship and connection and are always a highlight of the semester for our Scholars.
