Amanda Rizkalla

Biography
Amanda Rizkalla is an incoming Steinbeck Fellow at San José State University. Currently, she is the 2022-23 Hoffman-Halls Emerging Artist Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. Her work appears in Boston Review, No Tokens Journal, The Fabulist, and elsewhere. A graduate of Stanford University, she has received support from the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, Blue Mountain Center, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. She received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was awarded the Kemper K. Knapp Graduate Fellowship. Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and was recently selected as a finalist for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship and the Outpost Residency.
