Biography

Anthonya James graduated with Honors from UC Los Angeles with a degree in History and will be pursuing her law degree at UC Irvine. Anthonya has completed internships for Wiley Rein, LLP and is also the Social Media Manager for "Love By Bee," both based in her hometown of Washington DC. She was recently selected to be a UCLA Law Fellow.  The Fellows are selected nationwide and participate in Saturday symposia at the law school.  Anthonya also worked as an assistant to the head of the law school’s Critical Race Studies department. She also created a website to highlight the injustice created by mass incarceration and mandatory minimums in prisons across the nation. She is passionate about the ways in which African Americans are discriminated against and targeted by the justice system as a whole.
