Biography

Ashfah Alam is a current junior at Columbia University studying Political Science and Human Rights with diverse interests and experiences across public policy, law, and finance roles. She is a 2023 Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program scholar, a program where she had the opportunity to learn about core financial concepts including financial analysis, valuation, introduction to ESG, training in Bloomberg terminal and excel, and much more. She has previous internship experience as an Investments Intern at Casey Family Programs, Immigration Intern for the Office of US Senator Charles E. Schumer, and programs intern at Concordia Summit. Outside of her professional and academic background, she enjoys studying her native language Bangla and leading Columbia's bengali student association as President.
