Biography
Isamar Zhu is a Mira Costa High School graduate and is currently attending MIT as a junior majoring in Computer Science and Engineering and minoring in Environment and Sustainability. She is a National Merit Semi-Finalist, Amazon Future Engineer Scholar, Elks Most Valuable Student Scholar, Lockheed Martin STEM Scholar, UNCF Chevron Corporate Scholar, and Stantec Equity and Diversity Scholar. She won the Lockheed Martin CyberQuest, CyberPatriot Platinum Tier, and the University of Pennsylvania Book Award. Isamar was President of Beach Cities Student Tutoring and provided educational support to hundreds of youth in her community. On campus, Isamar is involved in the Chinese Students Club, HackMIT, HarvardxMIT Women in AI, and does research at the MIT Media Lab.
