Biography

Joanne Chang is an investor and advisor for startups with a focus on female and BIPOC founders. She is also a commercial real estate developer with a portfolio of mixed use, retail, and industrial assets in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Joanne’s specific functional expertise lies in strategic marketing, M&A, strategic finance, and business development. She has worked with Fortune 50 companies as well as seed-stage startups on a variety of business strategies. Joanne is also the accidental but happy founder and proprietor of Tiny Bar, an acclaimed craft cocktail bar located in the Jewelry District of downtown Providence.

Joanne has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a SM from the MIT-Harvard Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and a BS in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
