Justin Hogenauer

Biography
Justin Hogenauer completed a simultaneous degree in Society & Environment and Business Administration at UC Berkeley. He served as a cadet squadron commander in Air Force ROTC and was an undergraduate academic peer advisor for the Rausser College of Natural Resources. Justin was also the Student Director for the Cal Alumni Association Board of Directors and a recipient of the CAA's Achievement Award and two Leadership Awards. A recent Boren and Gilman Scholar, Justin studied the Thai language and study global affairs at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand. With post-undergraduate plans to serve as a U.S. Air Force pilot, he looks forward to using his multidisciplinary education and foreign language experience to bring a more diverse perspective into the U.S. military.

News and Highlights
National Security Matter: Justin Hogenauer, MS '18, is a recipient of the 2021 National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Scholarship, administered by the Institute of International Education. The scholarship will allow him to study Thai Language in Bangkok as part of his degree. The Boren scholarships is meant to support language and cultural learning of future public servants, to strengthen the Federal Workforce. Congratulations on this honor Justin!
