Maria Cuevas

Biography

I'm currently a junior at Columbia University, majoring in Astrophysics. My passion for the space industry led me to join the Columbia Space Initiative, where I'm the lead of rocket’s payload sub-team. My research interests center around astrophysics instrumentation, and I'm on track to apply to grad school at the end of my undergraduate years to pursue a Ph.D. in this field. My goal is to build instruments to advance our understanding of the cosmos and its mysteries.
