Biography
Petrina Alexander-Perteet is a certificated teaching professional with more than twenty years of experience working in an urban public school district at the secondary level supporting special needs students with an emphasis on transition planning. She has spent the last decade working for the Oakland Unified School District where she coordinates its Workability and CaPromise program and is responsible for overseeing the administration and compliance of several grant awards. She has taken part in numerous community efforts through her involvement as a member of the City of Oakland Mayor's Commission on Persons with Disabilities, Parent Steering Council for A Better Chance Northwest Region, and as a financial officer and active member of the Berkeley Bay Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Petrina recently completed her M.B.A. at the Mills College Loki School of Business and has degrees from California State University and the University of Pennsylvania.
