Biography
Shubhayu Bhattacharyay graduated from Mira Costa High School and studied biomedical engineering, applied mathematics and statistics, and Spanish at Johns Hopkins University. As a Gates Cambridge Scholar, Shubhayu completed a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge. For his doctoral thesis, Shubhayu developed AI methods which integrate the heterogeneous data collected from traumatic brain injury patients in the intensive care unit to improve the detail of information provided for prognostic counseling and to propose individually optimized treatment plans. Shubhayu is currently an MD student at Harvard Medical School, supported by a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans.
