Biography
William graduated in 2018 from Harvard with a degree in Social Anthropology and a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. After college, he worked as the lead Youth Organizer with the HANA Center in Chicago where he organized alongside young people in fighting for immigrant and racial justice. William then went on to Columbia Law School, from where he graduated in 2024.
After graduation, William passed the February 2024 New York Bar Exam and the July 2024 California Bar Exam. He began his legal career at the Los Angeles County Public Defender where he currently works as a Deputy Public Defender. Through his work, William hopes to help create infrastructures of care in lieu of prisons and policing. He is committed to working towards a larger vision of abolition and full citizenship for all and hopes be part of a compassionate social justice that heals and restores.
