ViewFourteen recent high school graduates from the Greater Los Angeles area have been selected as 2014 Milken Scholars. Together with new Scholars from New York City and the District of Columbia, they comprise this year's class of 24 Milken Scholars.

ViewThis past summer [2016], I participated in the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) program and got an offer from Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) for a project that focused on the development of an electrochemical carbon dioxide sensor for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
ViewI had the absolute privilege and pleasure of studying abroad in South Africa, primarily in the city of Cape Town. In the latter half of the summer [2016], I also had the opportunity to travel to Johannesburg and go on a pedagogic safari through my study abroad program in Kruger National Park. In short, it was an incredibly transformational summer that gave me a small glimpse into an incredibly beautiful country and the consciousness and ethos of an aspirational, resilient people.
ViewI had the wonderful privilege of traveling to Manila, Philippines for two and a half weeks with the Harvard Philippine Forum to work with children from Childhope Asia and Stairway Foundation.
